Welcome to Graduation.

18 May

First let me start out this blog by announcing that I have officially graduated college. It’s such a great accomplishment, which is exciting, however a strange feeling accompanies it. I don’t really remember this feeling when I graduated high school, probably because I knew what my plan was. Now, there’s no solid plan, it’s all just staying on my grind 24/7, working a job to live and writing as much as possible in between hoping one day to do this for a living. How amazing- to do what you love, what you have a true passion for, to live? And not only just to live, but truly enjoy life. If I’m not rich, I won’t be upset, as long as I’m doing what I love.

I would love nothing more than to be a big part in the Boston Hip Hop Scene. That, to me, would be so fulfilling to help, as a female, bring this scene together and be heard by the rest of the hip hop world.

I just want to send out a few shout outs to the most amazing people that I have in my life. Without their love and support this wouldn’t have been possible. First and foremost, thank you to the most encouraging, hard working, and supportive parents. You two have made me who I am today, and I couldn’t be more proud of the two of you. You are my heart and soul, Mum and Dad. My brothers, Tony and Chris, and my sister-in-laws, you have shaped me to be the person I am today. We’ve been through so much together and I couldn’t be more thankful to have such a supportive group in my life, I love you. My nieces and nephews, you are my inspiration. For you I will prosper in hopes of you one day following in my foot steps. Auntie loves you all so very much. To my friends who are my chosen family- you can never be replaced and I’m so incredibly lucky to have you in my life. You have made the last 4+ years unbelievable, I love you all. To the rest of my family/peers, thank you for participating in this journey thus far, it’s been amazing and will continue to be!

So here is the beginning of a new journey, and I hope you’ll join me along the way 🙂

Also, wanted to share this with ya’ll- a video a fellow graduate posted on facebook. It’s inspirational and reminds me so much of how my parents raised me, and how I want my own family to be. Check it here.
